Smallmouth and trout fishing

The month of May is one of the best months to fish for trout and smallmouth. Water begins to warm and both species become more active as their metabolism increases.. Streamer fishing for trout can be at its best with trout chasing down baitfish to meet their calorie requirements. Smallmouth move into pre spawn mode and are readily feeding on available food sources. I still have some days available to fish one of my favorite months of the year.
